ICE Bands (In Case of Emergency) have been available in the United States for a couple of years, to help people with medical issues, allergies, etc to get the treatment they may urgently need more efficiently in an emergency situation.
A Brief History
ICEBands were designed and brought to life by M. Lynn Mortensen of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
Lynn's mother and father were in England for two years, where his father jogged every morning. A week before his parents were scheduled to come home, his father was hit by a car and knocked unconscious.
Because he jogged without any identification, the emergency personnel had no clue as to his identity. He was taken to a local hospital where he remained until he was found several hours later by his wife.
It was clear that a product needed to be developed that could provide contact information or health concerns, yet be comfortable and stylish to wear. Several ideas and products were developed, but the product was finalized with the development of Lynn's "In Case of Emergency" ICEBand.

How ICE Bands are made
ICEBands are made of durable silicone. The outer clear band, engraved with the ICEUK logo protects the inner (colour of your choice) engraved band. The engraving on the inner colour band is entirely up to you, For example your name, date of birth, emergency contact number, and any medication you may be on or are allergic to.
